April 2022
Dear ,

The word “technology” can make some people nervous, but it has also improved our lives in many ways. Ways we never even give a second thought to any longer such as the ability to reach loved ones wherever they may be.

There are many new technologies coming out all the time as well. Technologies that can help us live better lives in a cleaner, healthier world. Let’s look at a few items designed to improve our homes and how we live in them as well as 4 remodeling ideas to improve your home this Spring!

Sincerely,

Spring is here! That means it is the perfect time to give your home a fresh new look. Let’s take a look at some ways you can update your home this spring:
Get Your Deck Ready
There’s nothing better than a family cookout on the deck during the long summer days. If your deck requires repair, or if you don’t have one at all, now is the time to have one installed.

Now is the time to refresh or repair your deck. If your deck is starting to get saggy or the handrails feel loose, now is the time to repair them to avoid any mishaps when the deck is being used more.

Don’t have a deck? You’re missing out. A deck is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or to eat dinner after a long day. They can be used to relax or to celebrate a special occasion. An added benefit to adding a deck is that they increase your home value!

New Technology for the Home
Home technology has come a long way in recent years. It is truly amazing how advanced some of the new technology is and how much it can simplify your life while also making it easier to be environmentally friendly.

According to a study by Parks Associates, 25 percent of homeowners plan to incorporate smart technology into their homes in the next year. Homeowners are looking for items that will help with convenience while also reducing energy use.

If you’re not sure where to begin, we have found three new technological solutions that you can consider:

Kohler Power Reserve
As homeowners become more conscious of energy conservation, they are looking for solutions that help reduce their carbon footprints. But they also don’t want to sacrifice having the power they need to run their homes.

Enter the Kohler Power Reserve. This new modular backup system stores and accesses the clean energy that is produced by a home’s solar system. The power reserve stores power to improve the home’s power usage.

The Kohler Power Reserve has the capability to be personalized for each family member based on their power usage needs. You can control time of use by using your stored energy during peak usage periods, which will increase energy savings.

The power reserve also has a self-supply mode where the battery limits the usage on your utility power by using the stored energy. For homes that do not have a solar system, the Kohler Power Reserve stores energy from the grid during lower electricity usage times.

The Kohler Power Reserve is compatible with any solar panel and can be installed indoors or outdoors. It also has a mobile app that allows you to monitor and control your power system from anywhere, at any time.

CLEANOVATION: Revolutionary Cleanliness Technologies
TOTO’s new CLEANOVATION not only has a clever name, but it also helps promote peace of mind, beauty, and wellness through cleanliness.

The Washlet is one of the new items in the CLEANOVATION line that should appeal to every homeowner. It’s a bidet seat that uses pure, clean water to leave you feeling fresher and cleaner than ever before.

Once the cycle is activated, a wand with AIR-IN-WONDER-WAVE technology provides soothing warm aerated water. Once that cycle is complete, there is a drying cycle where warm air lightly dries the area.

TOTO’s Washlet bidet seats are environmentally friendly since they reduce the amount of toilet paper that is wasted. It can fit most standard North American toilets.

Masonite M-Pwr Smart Doors
Even the front door is being enhanced with technology.

Masonite, one of the leading brands of interior and exterior doors, introduced its new M-Pwr door. This door comes pre-wired to accommodate all the technology you need to make your front entrance secure and convenient.

The door is integrated with a Yale smart lock you can control with your phone or home assistant, a Ring Video Doorbell, and motion-sensing LED lighting to illuminate the entryway. It also connects to your home’s power supply and has an emergency battery backup.

These are just a few examples of how technology is making the home a better, safer, more convenient place.

Have any questions? We’d be glad to answer them! We love talking tech in the home and will gladly introduce you to the latest and greatest items available on the market.
